JavaOne 2009 Panel Discussion

This months meeting is graciously supported by our past sponsors

Mark your calendars!

We have two talented, insightful and even entertaining speakers for you next week that participated in JavaOne from wildly different vantage points. It was Mark Meandro's first JavaOne and Michael Coté's nth. Mark's quest was as a developer yearning to drink from the fire hose of Java knowledge at JavaOne while Michael participated as a skeptical, but insightful analyst of the event complete with interviews of some of the key players.

Mark and Michael will give a presentation on what they saw and learned and their insights as to the current trends and future of Java. After the presentations, they'll take questions from the members.

More details can be found here on the website.

If you get a chance, you might attend JavaOne virtually by listening to the key note addresses and reviewing the PDF presentations of some of the talks on your favorite topics and come ready with your own insights and questions.

The meeting will be from 7:00-9:00pm in the Li'l Tex Auditorium in the Commons Building (# 137) located at 10100 Burnet Road, near the southwest corner of Burnet Road and Braker Lane on the University of Texas J. J. Pickle Research Campus.
